Copper Canyon

Post by Kirk on Wed Mar 25, 2009 9:28 am

Hey all, The Copper Canyon ride planned for the end of March has been postponed due to a lack of participants. I spoke to Jim Stansbury and he agreed to look at a second trip in October. While I'm sorry we won't be able to go this time, hopefully October will allow for more planning and we'll get a boatload of you folks to sign up then. In the mean time, your shop is planning a couple of overnight dual sport rides into those hills behind us, so we'll keep you informed of the dates and locations.

Stop by and see us

Americano Moto-Adventures

Post by Kirk on Fri Mar 20, 2009 12:28 pm

Americano Moto-Adventures was started by former tour leaders from Pancho Via MotoTours. Pancho Via was one of the first comapies to begin motorcycle tours into Mexico back in the 1990's. As Pancho Via expanded it's operations to areas outside the United States and Mexico, Jim Stansbury elected to stay closer to home and to the areas he loved riding, Mexico.

Jim is a very experienced tour leader, rider, a retired Police Officer, and just darn fun to hang around with. Jim knows the area like the back of his hand and has hosted many tours into Mexico and the Copper Canyon region.

I know you'll have a great time and see some fantastic sights.

Kirk, this sounds like fun and I've always wanted to do something like this. I went to the Americano Moto-Adventure page and there is no information about who these guys are????? It's only one page and there is no information at all about the company or how long they have been in business or tours they have led. You mentioned they are "Very experienced tour leaders" but I couldn't find any referrences at all?? There is also a hper-link to a website but when I hit it my browser said no site existed. Can you provide some additional info on this company? confused
Thanks!!

Copper Canyon ride

Post by Kirk on Sat Feb 21, 2009 11:53 am

Hey all, Pikes Peak Motorsports is sponsering a Dual Sport ride to the Copper Canyon of Mexico, March 28- April 4. This event is being coordinated by Americano Moto-Adventures of Colorado Springs. The ride is for friends and customers of Pikes Peak Motorsports. This ride is normally $1695.00 , but Americano has agreed to put this together for $695.00 per rider. They are very experienced tour leaders and lead this ride several time a year, but not for this price! Maximum of 8 riders, so don't wait.

See PPM's web site at www.ppm1.org for additional information. Hope you can make it, this time of year is perfect for Northern Mexico.

See ya, Kirk
