Wiring colors for Taillight
I am replacing the taillight with an LED taillight but hope someone has some ideas on the work colors.
The wires from the bike are
Black/Yellow – labeled on stock taillight as 54 STOP
Red/Yellow – labeled on stock taillight as 58 POS
Solid Brown – I assume this is ground (isn’t brown always ground on BMW???)
The wires in the LED replacement are:
Solid Green
Green/Yellow
Solid Brown
I guess that is what I get for buying the taillight on eBay (I emailed the seller and waiting on a response).
Thanks for your help. Steve

Re: Wiring colors for Taillight
I heard back from the seller on Ebay with the following descriptions:
Dear buyer
the yelllow is connect to positive polarity
the brown is for ground
the greeen is for negative polarity
any question , please contact with us freely
To go with that explanation, will someone confirm the polarity for the BMW wiring? I assume it will match up like this:
Positive: BMW Red
Negative: BMW Black
Ground: BMW Brown.
Please let me know if that is correct. Thanks again for any insight.
