Ride To Work Day 6/15/2009

Post by lobo rojo on Thu May 21, 2009 12:32 pm

Motorcycle and Scooter Annual Ride To Work Day is Monday, June 15. This international event is geared to demonstrate to politicians and the general public that motorcycle and scooter riders…
present a considerable portion of the population
…are from all occupations and all walks of life
…help reduce traffic congestion in large cities
…ride for transportation as well as recreation.

The Ride to Work Day Mission Statement is:
To advocate and support the use of motorcycles and scooters for transportation, and to provide information about transportation riding to the public.

For more information see the RTW website: http://www.ridetowork.org/ or reply with questions and I would be happy to share my experience in running my local event.

My company does a group breakfast ride, reserved parking, voting for “best” bike, and promotes safe entry into riding. You still have time to create an event no matter how large or small.
